NWIRA is now offering the Energy Assistance Program to help households with heating and electric costs. This new service provides one-time annual support for qualified residents in Lake, Jasper, Newton, and Porter counties.
NWIRA was established in 1989 and became a HUD-Certified Counseling Agency in 2008, with the goal of improving the lives of residents in Northwest Indiana. The organization is dedicated to providing financial counseling, fair housing and lending services, affordable housing support, and small business education to the community.
